50 Fun Things To Do This Summer

HSBC Bank Gladiator Worksheets KS1

During the summer, here is a fun activity you can do. Write a postcard to your new teacher/s in September telling them about something you have been doing over the six weeks holiday. Bring it back with you on your first day. They will love to hear about what you have been getting up to!

If you are interested in more support with Mathematics at home please follow the link below. White Rose Maths is excited to have produced a range of work booklets for parents and children to use over the summer or as support during next year.

We know it will be important for your child’s learning and well-being to continue learning from home during this time. Click the links below for your child’s learning. Core learning resource packs linked to reading, writing and mathematics will also be sent home.

Things to remember……

Make sure that your child has their full PE kit in school every day.

Spellings will be tested every Friday. Spare copies of the termly spelling overview can be found below. Children will bring home a slip with their spelling scores on.

Forest school will continue to be on a Wednesday. The dates of your child’s forest school session(s) can be found in their reading record. If you are unsure when your child’s session is this half term please check with Miss Allen or Mrs Dovey.

Please ensure your child has their library book(s) with them every Thursday in order for them to choose a new book.

Reading books need to be handed in every day (even if your child has not read). Reading books are changed frequently in school if records have been signed at home by an adult. Reading stamps will be updated regularly. Keep up the good reading at home!

Homework will be handed out every Friday and should be handed in the following Wednesday. If you need a spare copy they are listed below.  Please ask Miss Allen for a paper copy as not all worksheets can be posted online.
