In Acorn Class, we have been exploring the story The Colour Monster to help us understand and talk about our feelings. Each colour in the story represents a different emotion, yellow for happiness, blue for sadness, red for anger, grey for fear and green for calm. We enjoyed identifying the different colour monsters and discussing what each one might be feeling. The children shared their own experiences and talked about times they felt happy, sad, or even a little bit angry. It was a lovely way to encourage emotional awareness and help everyone feel comfortable expressing how they feel.
