Yew Tree Childcare is part of Tudor Grange Primary Academy Yew Tree. We offer a variety of childcare services to the local community and  are open for 48 weeks of the year and for most of the school INSET days. We are open from 7:30 am – 6:00 pm, Monday – Friday and welcome all children from 2 years – 11 years old. We accept all types of funding and childcare vouchers such as 2-year-old funding, 3 & 4 year-old funding; 30 hours funding; tax free childcare and childcare vouchers.  We are based in the Childcare Bungalow and we utilise all the outdoor spaces at school to provide a variety of fun and stimulating activities. We promote a healthy eating policy which meets the National Standard, and ensure that the snacks we provide offer the children a balanced and healthy diet.

Breakfast and After School Clubs

Children from Nursery to Year 6 can access this service and are known as “Saplings”.

  • Breakfast Club: Is open from 07:30 am and will provide your child with a healthy breakfast and then take your child to their classroom at the start of the school day. We offer a variety of cereals, fruit, toast, spreads, and juices. The cost for a breakfast club session is £5.25.
  • After School Club: Offers three sessions which run until either 4:30 pm, 5:30pm or 6:00pm. The children will participate in a variety of craft, cooking, physical and educational activities. Snack time is between 4:00pm and 4:30pm. The cost of these sessions are £6.75 until 4:30pm, £9.50 until 5:30pm and £11.00 until 6:00pm. A late fee of £20.00 will be applied if you are late to collect your child/children.

Ladybirds and Dragonflies Pre-school

Pre-school is based in the Childcare bungalow. Ladybirds Class is for 2-year-olds and Dragonflies Class is for 3- & 4-year-olds. We are open from 7:30 am – 6:00 pm and follow a “planning in the moment” approach where the children learn through play. We work with school to ensure our children are school ready before they transition to “school Nursery” or “Reception”. We use “Family App” to inform you with your child’s progress and to update you on their day-to-day activities. Children who attend pre-school wear the school uniform which is a white polo, bottle green jumper or cardigan, grey or black trouser/skirt/dress, and black shoes, or trainers.
