Last Friday, Year 3 celebrated Mental Health Week 2025 with a special focus on how we can look after our mental wellbeing. The children took part in a thoughtful and creative activity where they designed their very own Mental Health Toolboxes.

Each toolbox was filled with ideas and strategies that could help when feeling sad, worried, or stressed. From calming breathing techniques and talking to a trusted adult, to drawing, reading, or spending time with friends, the children shared thoughtful ideas about what helps them feel better both at home and at school. Sharing ideas showed us that it is important to look after our own mental health as well as support our friends, too. We discussed ways we could do this such as inviting people to play our games, sharing, being kind and smiling at each other.

We are so proud of the empathy, creativity, and maturity shown by Year 3. Their toolboxes are a wonderful reminder that we all have ways to take care of our minds!
