The Acorn children have been exploring the theme of Bonfire Night and fireworks through a variety of engaging activities. They learned about the traditions and excitement surrounding the celebration, sparking their curiosity and imagination. To deepen their experience, we listened to music that reflected the sounds and feelings of fireworks, encouraging the children to make large, expressive movements in response. These movements were then transferred onto paper in a creative process known as Write Dance. This approach helps children develop early writing skills by starting with their own emotions and natural physical movements, making writing a joyful and meaningful experience.
