As part of our Remembrance activities this week, Year 5 created some stunning silhouette artwork to honour those who served in times of war. The children began by painting beautiful sunset backgrounds in warm, blended tones. They then carefully cut and arranged black card silhouettes to depict powerful wartime scenes.

The finished pieces are incredibly effective and thought-provoking. They are proudly displayed on our classroom windows and were also shared during our whole-school Remembrance Assembly, where we observed the two minutes’ silence together.

We are so proud of the children’s creativity and the respect they showed throughout this project.
