Acorn Class have been learning about the artist James Rizzi, exploring his bright, playful artwork and discussing what makes his style unique. As part of their theme on houses and homes, the children used their understanding of how to draw buildings to help them recreate artwork inspired by Rizzi.

They looked carefully at his pictures, noticing the bold shapes, expressive faces, and colourful windows, before designing their own imaginative buildings.

The children then mixed their own paint colours and carefully filled their drawings with vibrant shades. Once the paint had dried, they used black pen to outline the details, adding features to the houses just like James Rizzi, creating their own lively, characterful pieces of art.
