The children were thrilled to welcome two local police officers into school to help us learn about the important ways they keep our community safe.

We were even able to sit inside the police car, explore the different parts of their uniform and even try some police hats on, and listen to their walkie-talkie which was good news as they had recovered a stolen vehicle.

The officers explained their jobs in a child friendly way, answered lots of curious questions, and showed us how to switch on the flashing lights in their car. It was an exciting and memorable visit that helped the children understand how the police are here to help us.
