As a school, we’ve been working hard to encourage everyone to walk, cycle, or scoot to school whenever possible. Not only does this help reduce traffic and fuel emissions, but it also means we’re all doing our bit to protect our environment. Plus- let’s be honest- it’s a brilliant way to start the day with some fresh air and a bit of exercise!

Children who regularly travel to school in an active way earn a special Walk to School badge. This month, Living Streets invited pupils across the country to design one of the next official badges. The whole class got involved, and we were blown away by the imagination, colour, and ideas shown by all our pupils. From nature themes to being active in the snow, from bold symbols to detailed artwork, every design showed just how passionate our children are about making greener choices.

We’re proud to share the four winning entries from Year 5. These pupils impressed with their originality, message, and attention to detail. Their designs truly capture the spirit of active travel and caring for our planet. Each winner will have their design submitted to the national competition-good luck to them all!
