Just before half term, we were delighted to welcome the Caterlink team into school to work with our Food Ambassadors and Eco‑Council. It was a fantastic opportunity for pupils to learn more about healthy eating, sustainability and how our school meals are created.

Tasting Session With Our Food Ambassadors

Charlene from Caterlink began the morning by meeting with our Food Ambassadors. She invited them to taste a range of dishes prepared by our wonderful school cook, Debbie. These included meals that may be added to the menu soon, as well as foods pupils had previously said they were unsure about or had never tried.

Our ambassadors gave thoughtful feedback, shared honest opinions and helped shape future menu choices. Well done to all of them for their confidence and contributions.

Sustainability With the Eco‑Council

Later in the day, the Caterlink team met with our Eco‑Council to explore important topics such as food sustainability, waste management and ways we can work together to reduce our environmental impact. They discussed how food is sourced, how leftovers can be reduced and how small changes can make a big difference to our planet.
