We hope all of the Mums had a lovely Mother’s Day weekend! In Year 3, we enjoyed talking about the special people who look after us, help us, and make us feel loved every day. To show our appreciation, the children created their own Mother’s Day cards using their handprints (which won’t stay this small forever!).

With some careful painting and lots of imagination, the children turned their handprints into colourful dinosaurs with the message: “Mum, you are ROAR-some!” The cards were bright, personal and full of love. The children couldn’t wait to take them home.

Jodi: I am going to the zoo. I’m looking forward to seeing the capybaras and the red pandas! 

Larna: We are going to take my Mummy to the pub for a special surprise! 

Ammul: We are going to give my Mum a lie-in while Dad and I sort a Mother’s Day breakfast.

Emerson: In the morning, I will wake up early to make my Mummy breakfast. I will give her butter on toast in bed. I love my Mummy because she is funny!

Ivy: I will be celebrating my birthday party on Mother’s Day so my Mum will be extra busy!

Billie: I spilt the milk everywhere last year, so I hope this year my breakfast for Mum goes better!

Isla: My favourite thing about my Mum is her cuddles.

Eloise: I will make my Mummy breakfast and give her gifts.

Phoebe: Daddy and I will make breakfast and then go out for dinner to treat Mummy.

Jack: I look forward to lots of cuddles with Mummy on Mother’s Day.

Grace: I love my Mummy because she is very kind and very respectful.

Anikah: My Mum is really nice, so on Sunday I will make her breakfast and we can eat ice cream together!

Maya: I will wake up super early to make Mummy breakfast and make her favourite spot on the sofa extra comfy.

Palvith: I will take my Mum to Starbucks.
