Acorn Class have been learning all about Eid as part of our theme this week. We explored the special month of Ramadan and talked about how some Muslims choose to fast from sunrise to sunset. The children looked closely at beautiful prayer mats and learned that Muslims use them when they pray.

We also explored tasbih beads and practised counting them just like many families do during prayer time. Finally, we talked about how Eid is a happy celebration at the end of Ramadan, with families enjoying special food, new clothes, gifts and time together.

The children really enjoyed discovering how people celebrate Eid around the world.
