This week, our Year 3 and 4 children transported us to Paradise Island with a truly wonderful performance that left parents, staff and pupils smiling from start to finish.

The story of Paradise Island carried an important message about the care of our planet. Through music, song and drama, the children reminded us all of the need to look after the world we live in – not to be careless or wasteful, and not to take the beauty around us for granted. It was a powerful and timely message, made even more special by the enthusiasm and understanding the children brought to their roles.

The performers were incredible. The actors showed great confidence on stage, learning their lines amazingly quickly and delivering them with clear voices and lots of expression. Their storytelling kept the audience engaged and brought the island and its challenges to life.

We also could not have done our performance without our fantastic choir who sang beautifully throughout the performance, filling the hall with uplifting songs that really enhanced the story. 

All week the children have worked incredibly hard to prepare for the show, practising songs, scenes and actions with determination and positivity. Their commitment truly paid off, resulting in a performance they can be very proud of.

Well done to all of Year 3 and 4 for such a fantastic production of Paradise Island. You impressed us with your talent, teamwork and confidence, and most importantly, with the important message you shared about looking after our planet. We are so proud of you all!
