Fruity Fun
Rowan Class have been using their senses to explore a variety of different fruits.

The children have enjoyed touching, smelling and tasting different fruits, thinking carefully about what they notice using their senses. We have been developing our vocabulary, using new and exciting words such as delicious, delectable, fragrant, luscious, sour and sweet to describe what we could smell and taste.

As part of this learning, the children have also practised important life skills including chopping, slicing and peeling. These activities help to strengthen their finger muscles, supporting their fine motor development.
Using these skills, we worked together to make a delicious fruit salad. The children were very proud of their creations and showed great enthusiasm when trying the different fruits and sharing their ideas with their friends.

Well done, Rowan Class!
