We were very lucky to welcome the wonderful author Susannah Lloyd to our school for a truly memorable visit.

Susannah worked with our KS2 children, bringing her exciting book series Badgers Are Go! to life. The session was highly interactive, with children eagerly stepping into role to join her main characters on their quest to take control of the mischievous human robots!

There was lots of laughter, creativity, and enthusiasm as pupils fully immersed themselves in the story. Susannah even shared some clever tips on how to spot whether you might be dealing with a ‘bot’, which the children thoroughly enjoyed!

Our KS1 pupils also had a fantastic experience exploring Susannah’s picture books, including Who Ate Steve? and This Book Can Read Your Mind. The sessions sparked curiosity and imagination, with children captivated by her storytelling style.

The follow-up ideas from both workshops have truly inspired our pupils, encouraging them to develop their own story ideas and think creatively as writers. It was wonderful to see such excitement around reading and writing. We hope this experience continues to inspire our children’s love of books and storytelling for a long time to come.
