Following our Art Gallery, we are delighted to showcase our amazing ‘Birds in the Trees’ paintings created by Year 4. This was a special piece of artwork completed during Creative Arts Week, where our theme was ‘Flourish’. The children truly embraced this theme, allowing their creativity and ideas to grow and develop throughout the project.

For this project, the children explored a range of artistic techniques, using masking tape, biro and paint to create their unique pieces. From carefully shaping their trees with tape, to experimenting with colour and texture in the background, and finally adding detailed pen work, every child produced something truly special.

The final results were full of creativity, individuality and impressive attention to detail. The use of cross hatching, curved lines and shading helped bring each tree to life, making them appear wonderfully three-dimensional.
