What a tremendous year our Year 6 children have had, and what a wonderful way to mark the end of their primary school journey.

Over the course of the year, they have created memories that will last a lifetime. From stepping back in time during our World War II experiences, to the adventures of Culmington Manor, to their fantastic performance of Peter Pan, this cohort has embraced every opportunity with enthusiasm, resilience and joy.

This morning’s beautiful Leavers’ Assembly was the perfect celebration of all they have achieved. There was not a dry eye in the house as we reflected on their journey, shared memories and celebrated their successes. It was a wonderful mixture of laughter, pride and emotion, reminding us all just how much this group means to our school community.

We are incredibly proud of everything they have achieved this year. Alongside their fantastic SATs results, we have watched them grow into confident, mature and caring young people who are ready for the exciting challenges that await them in Year 7.

Yesterday’s Leavers’ Party was another highlight. Wearing our colourful tie-dye T-shirts with pride, the children enjoyed an afternoon filled with fun, friendship and laughter. The bouncy castle was a huge hit, while the girls did their very best to teach Mrs Turner some Michael Jackson dance moves! There were also some spirited attempts to convince Miss Allen that a song about a duck asking for lemonade was a musical masterpiece!

A huge thank you to Debbie for providing the delicious catering and to the PTA for generously funding this special event. Your support helped create an unforgettable celebration for our children.

Congratulations to all of our award winners, who are pictured below. Your achievements and contributions to school life have been truly outstanding.

Class of 2026, you have been brilliant. Thank you for the memories, the laughter, the hard work and the joy you have brought to our school. We wish each and every one of you the very best as you begin your next adventure.
