The childcare children have had a blast celebrating Bonfire Night this week!

From crafting colourful bonfire collages to designing sparkling firework pictures, their creativity has truly lit up the classroom. They even made their own chocolate apple lollipops, sticky, sweet, and absolutely delicious! Through these exciting activities, the children have been developing a wide range of skills.

They’ve strengthened their fine motor control by cutting, sticking, and decorating, while expressing their ideas through art and design. As they chatted about Bonfire Night traditions, they built confidence in communication and language. Working together on group projects encouraged collaboration and social development, and measuring ingredients for their treats introduced early maths concepts.

Most importantly, they deepened their understanding of the world by exploring seasonal celebrations and learning about fire safety in a hands-on, meaningful way. It’s been a joyful week of learning through play, sparking imagination and curiosity every step of the way. We’re so proud of their enthusiasm and teamwork.
