Outdoor Learning this week! We have spent some time outside in Maths this week looking at how to write a number line. We then spent a lesson outdoors using counters and beanbags to introduce part-whole models. We had to find the whole (the number of beanbags or counters we started with), then find my 2 parts (the number of beanbags inside and outside the hoop, or the yellow/ red counters). This really helped develop our understanding that a number can be partitioned into 2 part.
