In Year 3, we have a positive attitude to reading! Each Monday we have access to our school library, and we understand that we share a responsibility to keep it organised. We have the chance to check new books out each week – which is really exciting because we have so much choice! At the end of each library session, Miss Rowlands chooses someone to pick a short picture book that we share as a class; this week, we read ‘Milo’s Monster’ which was all about overcoming jealousy.

In our classroom, we are also developing our Reading Corner, which feels like our own mini library! We have books about history, geography and science, a section for fairy tales, picture books, longer reads, graphic novels and lots more! Miss Rowlands has added cushions to this area so that when we find a really good book, we can get comfy to read! Next, we will be creating a display all about our favourite books so that we can recommend them to our friends!
