Acorn class have had lots of fun learning all about firefighters and bonfire night. The children were able to dress up as firefighters and imagine what it would be like to put out fires or to rescue people. They have made firework pictures using tubes, paint and glitter. They have enjoyed the role play area, playing with others and using their imagination. They have practised their cutting skills by cutting out pictures to make a fire engine. They have been experimenting with different tubes, pipettes and syringes to see which would make the water go the furthest to put out the pretend fire. We have learnt about Remembrance day and we held our 2 minutes silence to remember the soldiers and animals that fought and died in the war for their country. We collaged poppies and learnt why the poppy is the flower for Remembrance day.
