This week in our music lesson, Year 2 have learnt about pulse and rhythm. We learnt the rhythm is a pattern of sounds of different lengths and the length of a sound is called the duration.  We also learnt that the pulse is a steady beat which is always the same duration. We used our bodies and musical instruments to complete a call and response activity with each other. We performed, listen to and evaluated the music we created in our lesson. 

Maple class were set the task of creating a musical instrument for their homework last week. You can see some of the fantastic instruments that had been created in the photos. Mrs Griffiths was blown away by the effort that had been put into this homework task. We might have to start a Maple class band!
