This week, Year 2 visited St Alphege Church in Solihull. The children developed their knowledge of the Christmas nativity story by visiting a shepherd, king and inn keeper to hear about the very special evening when Jesus was born. We learnt the importance of each person in the nativity story, even including all the animals!

The children also enjoyed completing some craft activities. They created a Christmas inspired book mark and decorated a star which is displayed at the back of St Alphege Church.

Mrs Griffiths was extremely proud of the outstanding behaviour shown by all the pupils in Maple class as they walked to and from school and whilst at the church. They were all fantastic role models for our school!
