This week in P.E, we have started our Gymnastics topic. In our very first lesson, we explored how to hold different positions using strength, flexibility, technique, control and balance. 

With a partner, the children had to create different individual and partner balances demonstrating some of the skills discussed. 

The children were then tasked to put together a short sequence that included two partner balances and one individual balance.  The children had to think carefully and choose how to put their balances together so they flowed from one to the next. The children had to use body tension to hold strong shapes.  

We also discussed the importance of being careful and ensuring that the children were in a safe environment for themselves and others to work in. The children did a brilliant job both working work independently and in collaboration with others to create and develop different sequences.
