During RE lessons, Cedar’s pupils have been learning about Sikhism. They have compared the Bible’s version of the Creation Story to that of the Sikh’s traditional Creation Story, identifying their similarities and differences. They have also been learning about ‘The 5 K’s’. The Kirpan, Kara, Kachera, Kesh, Kanga and Khanda. The 5Ks are the five articles of faith worn by all baptised Sikh. The children were also able design their own Sikh place of worship, ensuring they contained all the important Sikh features of a Gurdwara.
