This half term the children have loved listening to Charlie and the Chocolate Factory by Roald Dahl. To accompany our core text, we have completed a variety of activities.

These have included work around describing and empathising with the main characters in the book and researching about Roald Dahl. Designing and describing machines for the Chocolate Factory along with designing and creating their very own chocolate bars. The children have made Oompa – Loompas, clothes peg characters and settings in a jar.

They have also drawn where they would like to go if they won a golden ticket.

We are finishing our unit of work with a visit to Cadbury World, where we will be learning about the Cadbury Family, comparing Willy Wonka’s factory with a real chocolate factory and of course, eating lots of CHOCOLATE!
