Rowan class shave been learning about 3D shapes this week, in particular, focussing on the faces of the 3D shapes. We have noticed that the faces on 3D shapes are 2D shapes such as circles, rectangles, triangles and squares. We have been looking at the flat faces and learning how to identify these. An easy way to work out if a 3D shape has flat faces is to build a tower! We noticed that the 3D shapes with flat faces were able to balance, however the 3D shapes with curved faces rolled away.
