Year 3 have started off the Summer term with Tri Golf lessons! We had lots of fun learning how to correctly hold a golf club and how to correctly and safely swing! We took part in lots of different games and drills to put our new skills to the test, including developing our aiming accuracy and our power! We worked in small groups or larger teams to score points; we really impressed our coaches with our positive and encouraging attitude towards our friends!

Tri Golf is a new sport for lots of us in Year 3, so it is normal that some of us found it tricky at first! Miss Rowlands is really proud of how we persevered throughout the lesson and we all improved by the end! We are really looking forward to developing our skills ahead of the Tri Golf Festival later on in the academic year!

Adriana: I liked when we had to run around because it was fun

Jan: I am excited for the competition because there will be lots of other children and it will be fun

Sienna: I really liked the Tri Golf lesson because it was fun when we got to hit the ball and try to hit cones. I have never played gold before but I really liked it.

Gasser: I enjoyed it because the lesson was hard. I found it tricky because I had to learn how to aim the ball. When I hit it hard it was hard to control, but when I hit it softer it was easier to control my aim. This was my first time learning how to play golf!

William: I really liked the lesson and I learnt lots of new skills like how to swing a putter correctly.  I am looking forward to the next lesson and the competition.

Callie: I liked the lesson because we learnt new skills and we are going to be in a competition – I am really excited!
